While the vast majority of dog parents are wonderful, caring individuals, they don’t always understand how dogs think and what they need. I have visited lots of dog owners and their dogs in an effort to help owner and dog live a happier and more harmonious existence. There is a real need for this kind of education and I feel privileged to be able to provide it.
My name is Kerry Pain. I live in the town of Pontypridd in South Wales. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love dogs. Over the years I have been privileged to have owned several wonderful dogs. Currently I own an enthusiastic and lovable rescue American Bulldog/Staffy cross.
I have a Practitioner Diploma in Dog Behaviour with the British College of Canine Studies which I passed with distinction. I belong to the Tog Dogs Academy which was established by the eminent scientist/dog behaviourist/dog trainer Dr Ian Dunbar. I have attended the Institute of Modern Dog Trainer’s dog training courses and done training courses with Absolute Dogs and the School of Canine Science. This has given me the insight and knowledge to adapt different techniques to suit the variety of dogs I deal with.
I am also a qualified lawyer (FCILEX) with a real interest in how the law impacts on dogs and their owners. I am a Registered Signatory to the CAWC Code of Practice with the Registration Council for Dog Training and Behaviour Practitioners. I hold a certificate in Dog First Aid and am a member of the Professional Pets Network. In order to educate dog owners, I also run regular dog behaviour courses at the local college.
I carry both professional and public liability insurance
Once you have had a wonderful dog, a life without one, is a life diminished.” — Dean Koontz
